protein waffles

This is by far the best recipe for protein waffles out there! Packed with protein but still nice and crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. I love topping these off with some syrup, salted butter, powdered sugar, or some fresh or frozen berries, but you can add whatever your heart desires.

INGREDIENTS

2-3 drops

1 tsp

egg whites

iso whey protein

flour

low-fat quark 

salt

butter biscuit flavor drops

vanilla extract

sweetener of choice

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well

If the batter ends up a bit thick, dilute with a little bit of water

  • Heat up the waffle maker, lightly spray both top and bottom with some oil or baking spray (important!),  and pour in about half of the batter (depending on the size of your waffle maker)

 

  • Bake until the waffles detach from the waffle maker and are crispy on the outside

 

If you don’t have any low-fat quark, you can also substitute with 0% greek yogurt.

I love having these with some low-cal syrup, some light salted butter and powdered sugar, or with some fresh or frozen berries, but you can top them off with whatever your heart desires!
